Minnesota is home to some of the best ski resorts in the country. One of the top choices is Spirit Mountain in Duluth. This resort features 22 downhill runs, the largest terrain park in the Midwest, and opportunities for night skiing. While many of the runs are designed for experienced skiers and snowboarders, the resort also has excellent opportunities for learning thanks to highly capable instructors.

Another celebrated resort is Lutsen Mountains, which boasts 90 runs and 1,000 acres of land, as well as a 900-foot vertical drop. The runs are designed for people of all skill levels and individuals who do not like skiing or snowboarding can opt for dog sledding, snowshoeing, or horse-drawn sleigh rides.

Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort in Biwabik is a little smaller than the other two but has also received a great deal of attention for its 35 runs and 500-foot vertical drop. Snowboarders often opt for Giants Ridge because of its excellent terrain park. Visitors also have access to snow tubing runs, snowmobile rentals, and snowshoeing paths.
